Patricia Cornwell

Patricia Cornwell was born in the state of Florida. Her father was a lawyer and her mother was a secretary. Her parents divorced when she was pretty young. Her mother moved Partricia and her brother to Montreat, North Carolina. Patricia graduated from Davidson college in North Carolina. And she married her English professor who was 17 years older than her. She worked as a reporter for a North carolina newspaper. Patricia's first book was a non fiction, called "A Time For Remembering" and was published in 1983.  Her first crime novel was "Postmortem", it was rejected several times before it was published in 1990. And she only received $6000.00 for it.
