Service dogs

Have you ever seen those dogs at work for people that have trouble seeing, they are just to amazing, watching them take care of the masters and the way they interact with each other, just seeing them together is something else. Do you know that if you qualify to can get one of those dog when they are young and bring them into your home to train them. If you take one of these dogs they have to be able to go with you everywhere. Did you know those dogs are colored blinded so they can not tell the difference in street signs. The most popular dogs for this type of job is the  Golden retriever or Labradors, that is because of there work-ethic.

These dogs do help a number of people not just the ones that are blind. These dogs help people in wheelchairs or what we call physically disabled. These dogs are happy to help anyone but once they do have a partner they stay partners for life or until they are retired. It takes a specially person to be able to take these dogs under there wing and  train them and then let them go again but you have to remember they are going to help someone.  There are some dogs that are called therapy dogs but they do not have the same privileges as the service dogs. Some of them just assist there boss in the kitchen with picking up things, open and close doors etc.
