Monsoon Season

Looks like we are in for a lot of rain in the next several days. They say it is the monsoon season here. All it has done today is rain really hard and make a bunch of mud. When it rains this hard it won’t even give the ground a good soaking because it is raining to hard. Oh wait I see the sun poking through the clouds, ah just for a minute. It always smells good after a rain and the leaves have a shine and you get a gentle breeze that gives you that gentle smell. Someone said that the monsoon lasts for several months, but I do not remember that happening, I think they are several months long in different countries. But it sure is nice to get some relief from them almost 100 degree days, but it is also a reminder that winter is on its way. The monsoon season this year for everyone is predicted to be wetter and warmer, but it could also be warmer this summer. The monsoon season is late for Arizona and New Mexico as it usually comes in times to help with any wildfires burning around there. Today with all that rain falling, it sounded like someone one was on the roof playing some very very loud drums. With all the mud outside today the kids will have a lot of fun in the mud and the bathtub will get a work out tonight.
