CREAM PUFFS
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. boiling milk
1 c. flour
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
Add shortening to milk and bring to a boil. Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until ball forms in center of pan. Cool slightly. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating after adding each egg. Mixture should be very stiff.
Shape on oiled cookie sheet by dropping from spoon. Bake 15 minutes in hot oven (450 degrees). May vary depending on oven. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes until done. If in doubt, remove one from oven to test. Cool. Fill with cream filling. Makes 2 dozen small puffs.

3 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 tbsp. vanilla
