American Bulldog

They describe this dog as true grit, true devotion and true love. They are a hardy,athletic, all purpose working dog. It is a loving companion, good with children and other pets, but at the same time can be fearless and protective of it master, they have been known to do heroic acts of courage. These dogs have also been known to hunt, drive cattle and guard stock from it predators.The have short hair but it is pretty coarse type. These dogs are known for there jaw pressure, there mouth is twice as big as two regular dogs it looks like. Did you know that they are bigger then there ancestor the English bulldog. The dogs usually last between fourteen and sixteen years, some do live longer though. Did you know they can jump as high as six feet due to there strong hind legs. There heavy drooling and slobbering is just part of there charm and cuteness. When you are looking for an bulldog do make sure you go to a reputable breeder because they are what you are looking for. Some bulldogs look like they are pretty mean but if they are train or around people and other animals to start with they will be just fine. One thing you do want to do is make sure you start training them from the time you get them home so they learn or they can learn to misbehave. All in all the young at heart love to have these types of dogs.
