Star Fish

Star fish come in so many different sizes and colors. You find them on the beaches, and they usually have at least 5 arms. They eat Oysters and Clams and have 2 stomachs, one is used for digestion and the other one is for grabbing the food. They get around like they have little tiny wheels as they glide across the ground, when they are in the water it is like they have a vacuum that when they suck and blow they can go. If these cute little creatures loose one of their arms, they can automatically grow a new one with the right parts, how cool is that. There is a sea star that has red knobs all over it and they look like candy of some kind. The star fish does have a mouth and it is on the underneath side of him. Guess what, on the end of each arm is their eyes, but they can only see light and dark which does help with them seeing movement. They say there are over 1800 kinds of the star fish and some have not been discovered yet. The star fish is also called the sea star, but they do not all look like stars they have other shapes to. You can find star fish in any Ocean on this Earth, and some places you visit have them for sale in their gift shops. They are so cute and fun to look for on the beach.
